Important note: At this time, I am only offering childbirth education, daytime postpartum support, and abortion companionship. My schedule no longer permits me to be on-call for labor and birth support. If you are looking for a birth doula in addition to any of my services, I am more than happy to refer you to someone from my network.

Sensory-Focused Childbirth Education

What sensations do you feel throughout your body when you're excited? At ease? Nervous? Fearful? These feelings are important for you (and your support person) to attune to as they can greatly influence your labor and birth experience regardless of whether you choose a hospital, birth center, or home birth.

Over a series of three sessions, I will implement a sensory-integration program to help you customize your birth plan, determining which comfort measures and pain management strategies will work best for you. No more sit-down lecture series--it's all hands-on!

These sessions will be conducted in your home to ensure undivided attention, privacy, and individualization. The first will take place during your second trimester and the remaining two will be during your third trimester.

Postpartum Support

Support for new parents is equally vital as support for a newborn. As your postpartum doula, I will help you adjust to your new chapter through the following tasks:

​

  • Self-care and recovery measures (for vaginal births and cesareans)

  • Newborn education

  • Feeding assistance (e.g. lactation basics, bottle feeding)

  • Accompaniment to OBGYN, midwife, or pediatrician appointments

  • Emotional processing

  • Partner and family support

  • Light meal and snack preparation (please inform me of any dietary restrictions)

  • Light housekeeping as it relates to the newborn (e.g. newborn laundry, bottle washing, etc.)

  • Referrals to adjunctive providers or services

Abortion Companionship

I acknowledge that this is a particularly sensitive topic, for a myriad of reasons. If you are looking for a compassionate, nonjudgmental, pro-choice companion to guide you before, during, and after your procedure, look no further.

  • Accompaniment to appointment(s)

  • Self-care measures before and after (preparation and recovery)

  • Emotional processing

  • Body awareness

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Adjunctive resources

My abortion support package includes two visits prior to your procedure, support on the day of your procedure, and two visits after.

How much are my services?

Out of pocket fees are as follows:

​

  • Childbirth education series: $600

  • Postpartum doula support: $45/hour

  • Abortion companionship: $500

​

I am in network with MediCal insurance and their subdivision Blue Shield Promise Health Plan. Please contact your individual insurance plan to verify coverage of doula services. I am happy to provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance for full or partial reimbursement, if applicable.
